Vet Helpline

There are currently twenty-five anonymous and unpaid volunteer Helpers that run the 24 hours service every day of the year. They are largely either veterinary surgeons or their spouses and offer empathetic discussion of emotional, addictive or financial problems and refer Callers on for specialist advice where appropriate.
Tel: 07659 811 118 (local call rates apply, 24hr rapid response answer phone)
** THIS SERVICE DOES NOT PROVIDE ADVICE ABOUT ANIMALS TO THE PUBLIC **

For statistics on calls to the Vet Helpline and information on the structure, governance and management of the helpline see the VBF Annual Report 2008.

Go to information and advice available to the veterinary profession for addiction, eating disorder and mental health problems.

If you have experience of the veterinary profession and would like to volunteer as a Helper, please contact the Chairman, Austin Kirwan, at barnlodge@aol.com.
